I have a question. I have looked everywhere for the answer to this but I cannot find it on my own. So, I am usually a lurker but now I must post this.
I was wondering can you replace Salt in the protocol with MSM? And my second question is MSM a salt? THe dictionary definition is vague in this point. Has anyone replaced one with the other?
Thank you fellow lymies, Suzie

What is MSM? And be careful with the salt/C protocol. It can really mess you up--kidneys, hormones etc.

Use a good quality salt -- Himalayan or Real Salt. You want to be sure you're getting balanced minerals.
I used it for six weeks and it did help with my low body temp and low blood pressure. I don't really think it did much for the Lyme though.

MSM is basically sulphur. It feeds the cells. It won't do the same thing a s salt.
From what I've read, my opinion about the salt C protocol is that it is too much salt for most people to tolerate.
In my opinion, salt C will knock out many kinds of parasites, and will help get rid of intracellular parasites too, including the mycoplasma form of Lyme.
I did well on three to four grams of salt a day, and herxed on it, but more was too much for me.
I don't believe that this protocol is a cure for lyme.
