Well, after waiting countless months, I finally saw my LLMD for the first time yesterday...
Wow, what a difference in care and bad side manners. He talked briefly about himself and background then looked over my old medical records while I recanted my story of the past 20 mos. He spent over an hour with me just talking and listening.
Then he said, Im assuming no other dr has come up with a diagnosis? I said, no. He said, well, you've got lyme, and we're going to find out what other stuff along with it.
No .."if" you have lyme.., instead it was, you have "classic lyme" and Ive seen your case over 1500 times...its all the same.. So relax, you now know what it is and we're going to treat it.
Hes wants an aggressive protocol, so he's putting me on a triple course of abx... omnicef (cefdinir), and biaxin (clarithromycin), and tindamax (tinidazole), and also supplements such as vessel guard, mito guard, mag guard, othrobiotics, lipostat, drainpar, and cod liver oil.. whew.. thats quite a change from just plain old doxy.
His regiment is to hit the lyme in all 3 phases, cyst, cell wall, and dna..and do the protocol for a solid 8 weeks. If all goes right...done in 2-3 months...or else 5 mos total. Theres no time frame, but the goal is to be symptom free for at least a month, and then do another month of abx on top of it.
He also ordered up tests for coinfections and lyme (through igenex..yeah), and also tests for thyroid, heavy metals and full blood panel work.
From a neuro who thought it was anxiety..to an educated dr who knows what it is, and how to treat it...geeez...what a difference and what a relief.
He said to expect some herxing, and likely bad ones at that because of taking all three at once... But if it gets me healthy...Im ready...
Thanks to everyone on this site for directing me to seek out an LLMD! Just having someone believe me and not think it was anxiety was a blessing...!

Nice! I think I know which LLMD you're talking about; it's good
to hear that he's treating for longer after symptoms
resolve these days.
