Since it seems like there is so much overlap between all three, and people who are as sick as we are generally have multiple co-infections, and since the testing for all three is so reliable...why not just use a treatment plan that covers all three simultaneously?

I'm thinking...

1) Doxy 200 mg twice daily
2) Biaxin 500 mg twice daily OR Azithromycin 500 mg daily
3) Levaquin or Rifampin
4) Mepron

Seems to me like with those 4 drugs we would effectively cover LD, babs, and bart. Is it really that simple?

That's what my LLMD does .... treats all three.

This is actually what I have been using for myself for the past several months. It seems to effectively treat all 3 diseases. Is anyone else using this? Do you use rifampin or levaquin for the bart symptoms? I know each person's treatment is different, but with so much symptom overlap, it just makes sense to me to cover all three with a wide net.

Once I was on Levaquin, Mino, Malarone, Lariam, Art, Plaquenil, and Tindamax.

Now I am on Mepron, Zith, Rifampin, Plaquenil, Art.

I have taken lots of herbs/supps the whole time, too.

I have been on many other combos, but these are the two that hit both bart and babs.

I take Zithro, Bactrim, Plaquenil, Mepron and soon Bicillin too.

I guess my LLMD tries to hit all three.

Sixgoofy and kitkat,

Have you all seen results on this multi-bug protocol? Just thought I'd ask!!!!!

I'm on a similar path---Mepron/Zith/Plaq and soon Zhang's Art.

I would like to add either Rifampin or Bactrim though for the Bart.

Any improvement with this treamtment? I need to have a conversation with my LLMD about adding the next "layer."

Thanks you guys and good luck! [Smile] [Smile] [Smile]

this is the only way IMO to get someone well who is very sick.

doesnt give the little buggers a chance to get the upper hand.

youll herx like hell but youll get well eventually.

covering all 3, 4, 5, or 20 infections is the way to go 4 now.

good luck
derek

PS----- ScaredinNJ, I am assuming more docs don't use Levaquin with these multi-bug protocols because it is harsh on the body. That is just my assumption though.

As far as adding Doxy, I believe I may have heard of Minocycline added in there, but I don't know of anyone on Doxy with Mepron, etc. Not sure why...but sixgoofykids would know much more about this than me [Wink]

Good luck.
