I did a foot detox bath recently. I do not know why for certain but the day after my spleen area started hurting. Maybe I did not hydrate well enough?

The morning after I drank some chamomile tea and drank some aloe juice and the discomfort went away.

Yesterday I took some herbal yeast/candida remedy for the first time. My spleen area was uncomfortable last night and I had a hard time falling asleep. I have the feeling either the tea tree oil in the capsules or the GSE or caprylic acid were too hard on my spleen.

My first question is how can you nurture your spleen? Are their things you can eat?

My second questions is what in the yeast cleanse formula might have caused the discomfort so I never take that ingredient again?

And my last question is why would a foot detox bath cause spleen discomfort?

I don't have the answers, but I'll be reading them! I've been having terrible left side pain under my ribs lately.

That is exactly where my discomfort is. I use to think it was stomach pain but I finally learned where the spleen was located. I now feel it is coming from my spleen.

I think acupuncture does help but I do not have another appointment for awhile.

In the past I use to eat pineapple or drink organic pineapple juice to quiet the pain in the middle of the night but I currently need to avoid pineapple due to candida issues.

I clinic I go to does Fango treatments. It is a german clay mixed with some kind of wax I think. It is heated and cut into large sheets to cover the spleen, liver, the whole abdominal area as well as in back for the kidneys.

It is just hot enough to be able to be comfortable and it draws out toxins. Feels really, really good. Might see if anyone does that in your area.

I've had this pain too, on and off since I got sick with Lyme. It hurts under the left rib cage.

I've noticed that mine hurts worse after I eat...but then a few minutes later it calms down? I'm not sure why...

what does the spleen do under normal circumstances for our bodies?? what is its purpose?

My understanding is that it helps fight infection. No wonder our hurts, LOL.

Get your doctor to feel your spleen.

NOW.

If it is grossly inflammed it can be a medical emergency.

These symptoms?

"Acute Inflammation of the Spleen. Splenitis.

THE spleen is in the upper part of the belly, on the left side, opposite the liver.

It is subject to acute inflammation, which is known by a pain just under the short ribs on the left side, also by swelling, soreness to the touch, and by more or less fever.

The pain often shoots up through the midriff and to the left shoulder. There is a short, dry cough; a feeling of tightness about the heart; a sickness at the stomach, and vomiting; and a discharge frequently of black blood from the bowels.

The urine is scanty, is passed with some difficulty, and is high colored.

This disease appears most frequently in hot climates, and is often connected with intermittent fevers."

I used a product called "Spleen" from Standard Process from my chiropractor that helped me a whole lot.
