We just had those run 9 weeks into this ordeal since my 3yo son is being treated for lyme and isn't showing much improvement.
If these tests are negative, do you think it will just take more time with the oral abx (he is taking two very strong ones for the past 5 weeks) and started with one.
We caught it "early" and I'm just disappointed is isn't budging yet.

You can't really infer much about the severity of
the illness from test results.

Does that mean he could have either or both, even if the first results were negative, like with his lyme?
First test negative, second positive? Coult the Babs and Bart be negative the first time or two, and then come back positive?
My son is still running low grade fevers, fatigued, and has occasional complaints of neck and back pain, along with a new complaint of his eyes hurting and seeing dots ~ so I'm trying to figure out if this is something other than the lyme.

Yes, the tests are not always accurate. Did you get an Igenex test by chance? You need to.

No, Quest Labs. The same lab dx my son with lyme. CDC positive too.
