So I have been recently put on a sugar free diet and I need help... Are there any websites or helpful links that you could link me to? I need simple appealing meals to a teenager... Everything seems to have sugar and I am overwhelmed by the diet!

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/021412.html As far as diets go, just eliminate the sugar and eat proteins and vegetables. It's pretty simple. You could also Google "sugar free diets" and see what you get. Good luck and happy health!! If you're trying to eliminate yeast, then be sure to cut out potatoes and white rice, pasta, bread, etc.

If I remember correctly the book "the yeast connection" had some meal ideas in it. Its an older book so your local library might even have it (mine did). you also might be able to google anti candida diet. this would give sugar free , low carb ideas. I am assuming the reason you need to avoid sugar is to avoid developing or combat yeast.

My LLMD recommends Sugar Busters instead of something like Atkins. Initially it was a tough change. I used to drink 6-7 regular cokes a day. I know.....very healthy. Now, anything really sugary (with the exception of my Mom's chocolate sheet layer cake) Tastes too sugary.....kind of yucky. I use Splenda....have an occasional diet soda with splenda in it. Very rarely eat fruits. No white bread, pasta or rice. Still allow for some "cheating" as I am somewhat of a rebel. I think a gradual change is easier than an abrupt one. It really does make a difference in how you feel. Sure beats waking up with a white tongue too. Hugs, Geneal
