has anyone tried this EFT therapy, the tapping

technique? can you actually get any relief for

any problems if you are not taking any abx to

kill anything? can just tapping bring

improvement? this is alittle hard for me to

believe! maybe for other problems but infections?

thanks for any input,

Radha

i have found that tapping really helps me emotionally, it helps me calm down when my anxiety is through the roof. that in itself is enough for me to continue it, though i'm not yet convinced it can stimulate the immune system to kill infections or anything of that sort.

I have played with this on my own. I downloaded his free book and practiced it some. It definitely helped me with my sinuses but not my joint pain. Just physically tapping on many of his points of the face alone would help drain sinuses.

I have thought about seeking out a trained practitioner but I have to budget where I spend my out-of-pocket dollars and I don't feel confident enough about this to spend the bucks on it.

I think if it were a great cure, we would have many testify to it here at lymenet. Don't you?

Luvs

PS: I do however believe in the power of positive thinking and EFT uses that.

Well, it can't hurt but I personally haven't found it helpful for me. Except I felt slightly silly.

I know some people think it's great, so it's certainly worth a try

According to Dr K - stuck emotions can cause your body to hold onto toxins so it's important to address emotional issues one way or another...

My non-Lymie family members have seen better relief from it than I have. It helps my husband with stress. My son will go longer in between bedwetting with it.

I think it's more obvious in those who don't have as many issues as we do. For us, there are too many levels for it to help immediately.

Also, I think that it's difficult to find what issues we need to deal with .... as shown on the email updates, it really depends on the practitioner's ability to determine what to tap for. Since we are our own practitioner, we might be tapping for the wrong thing.

I have had it help me with emotional baggage, which is one piece of the puzzle with Lyme treatment.

Overall, I think it can be a good tool to help as an adjunct therapy, and it helps that it's free.

Our doctor recommended EFT and recommended a specific practitioner for anything we couldn't take care of on our own.

Six months ago, 3 EFT sessions with the recommended professional wiped out a lifetime of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

We have personally used it for:
Sinus congestion and drainage (effective for each
event)
Car-sickness (gone for good)
Headaches
Nausea
Specific pains elsewhere in the body
Neutralizing painful memories or traumatic events
(when we do it effectively, the emotional
response has been gone for good)

Though we are new at this (only 7 months), we have found it to be powerfully effective.

We haven't been successful with everything, but we are so grateful for the times it has worked.

I tried it once with a practicioner I was going to. I agree with Larkspur... I felt kind of silly doing it. I did feel a little better for about an hour.

I heard that they were using it for victims of hurricane Katrina for PTSD since it was easy & worked pretty quickly. I don't know what the long term results were.

I would like to use it more. I think anything that deals with points and meridians can be helpful. It is sort of like acupuncture but without the needles.

There is someone around here who is offering free first time 15 minutes sessions. I think I will try them out.

Gone thru basic certification. Helped on issues I used it for. Some things I have to keep tapping on but have seen immediate results like chocolate cravings disappear but have to work on root to completely eradicate but must say don't require daily chocolate fix like I did for years after tapping on it last year. Pretty cool, huh?

Seems they have really good results on ptsd. Have a cd on it. Have gotten relief from hives when that was problem but haven't tapped on other physical problems. Tapped on other issues and helped that.

I get their newsletter and you can get alot of free stuff online from them.
