I have been taking ambien for years now (unfourtunatelly).
When the generic came out they switched me to that, I think the name was Mylan. I didnt notice too much of a difference.
Then they switched me to Teva, I felt a bit odd on it and I felt that it wasnt working as well.
Now CVS caremark switched me to Dr. Reddys Zolpidem.
Who is this guy and why should I care?
I have been noticing that it takes alot longer for it to kick in and the next morning I wake with a big hangover feeling!
I feel that this is a dirty drug or something.
Anyone else have this side effect from the generics?

I have tried several different versions of Zolpidem.
Zolpidem is the name of the drug contained in Ambien, The Mylan and Teva you mention are companies that make it.
I have never had any problems with generic versions. But I don't know which compaines made the three different ones I have had.
My mother had problems with one of the generics. It wouldn't work for her. But I tried the one that wouldn't work for her and they worked fine with me.
I think it may be an individual thing. Some people have problems with the binders different companies use.
My wife is very sensitive to a lot of generic drugs. They just don't seem to work or they cause side effects.
If you have a problem with all of the generics, you can request the brand name. It will just cost more.

Thanks for your input Bill.
I was just wondering. Of course the real issue here isint the Ambien, its the Lyme and company.
