Hi Tony - sorry you are having such a bad time of it. I have learned that going to loud, crowded places can be really bad for anxiety.
There are things you can take but you need to be in touch with your doc asap. Let him/her know exactly what is going on and ask for help with anxiety.
The fear around this will cause everything to tense up which makes it worse. If there is any way at all you can relax, please try to.
Put a call in to your doctor and let them know it's an emergency.
Maybe they can prescribe something for you right away.

Try St John's Wort. You can buy it at any local healthfood store. Don't buy from Wal-Mart or equivolent. They are cheap immitators and not pure.
I read studies that have shown it to be as effective as Paxil.
I do not know about St. Johns, I just finish reading the link and I am not tryoing to have more anxiety or hallucinate.

do you have any walk in clinics there? A doctor w/ an emergency number that you treat with? He/She could call in an order for an anti-anxiety for you.
suggest either klonopin or xanax. It will help you through this horror that is all tooo familiar with me.
Avoid over-stimulation..noise, crowds, etc. it is adding to your symptoms by over stressing your nervous system.
Best, Feelfit

Tony,
St. Johns' Wort is an excellent plant remedy against depressions - I never had any side effects. But it takes around 3 weeks to become fully active.
For anxiety I'd recommend valerian. There is a good product in German pharmacies, called "Baldriparan". There are pink pills for the day and stronger ones in light blue colour for the night (Baldriparan Stark fr die Nacht).
You get it w/o prescription and it helps me.

It sounds like what you had is some overstimulation due to the crownd noises etc. Its pretty common for people with neuro lyme. I get it when i go to crowded places and things.
Nothing i know of really helps it except xanax or thing like that.

I just realized it is not just noise from the crowd. I also get it when Im nervous or worried about something. Im pretty much worried about anything
for no reason and when I feel like that my legs gets weak and musclestight.. Im pretty much living with this for weeks now. The only time I do not feel like this
is when I go to sleep and I sleep very well. Guess I need some valium or something like that.

As others have mentioned, check anything you take with your doctor.
I take GABA for anxiety and it helps a great deal. It is a supplement that you can get at a health food store. An osteopath told me to give it a try and I've been taking it for a number of years.
One of the first things that I noticed when I got sick was that I felt overwhelmed when going to crowded places. Too much stimulation.
Hope you feel better soon.

You have very similar symptoms of my son.
Xanax has been a life saver.
Also, the brain penetrating abx like Doxy or Mino hit these type of symptoms fast in him...they seem to work the best and he has tried many.

It was the sprite; citrus flavored soft drinks contain a brominated vegetable oil. That bromine displaces iodine in the production of thyroid hormone. Your body's idiosyncratic reaction made you manifest symptoms of hyperthyroidism (racing heart, anxiety, etc.), others might manifest hypothyroid symptoms with the same trigger.

It was not the sprite because I already felt like that before I had the drink, before we sat down and before we left the house.

You should still avoid it...

Sprite.... SUGAR... Yeast... end of story.
(You might try Solaray's "Nerve Blend" for the anxiety.)

Before going for prescription drugs, try some B Complex and B1.
Any medication you're taking eats up the B vitamins, and can cause anxiety, wierd compulsive thinking, etc.
Prescription psychiatric drugs now all carry "black box" warnings because their side effects can be so severe.
Best,

Your anxiety sounds like one of my bartonella symptoms. Does anyone else here think this sounds like bart to them?
I think taking a American product called Ele-max has helped prevent more anxiety for me because I have not had severe anxiety for some time. Ele-max contains a small amount of St. John's Wort in it but also has some other calming ingredients. I consider it my daily brain food.
You could always order some online to give it a try. It is made by the Tyler Corporation.
