I have Intercistal Cystitis for 2 years along with water retention/puffy face prior to ovulation. Docs found the water retention normal.
But, only have had these symtoms recently:
vertigo, brain fog, tingling in arms, blurry
vision, facial weakness and rt side droopy (very little to the pt the Doc said it wasnt bells),
sound/light sensitivity, hormone/weather change made symptoms worse, Dorito cravings, head pressure and temple tenderness.
facial twitching when muscles are contracted, since mid to end of June.
The first dizzy feeling i had was on June 14th, then June 23rd I had a bite on the ear of unknown origin at camp, then after that the vertigo began then other symptoms.
Does Neuro symptoms mean longer infection?
Or, does it mean the infection is just deeper? (I was on prednison twice in the beginning)
My LLMD also said I have yeast overgrowth and have been on 200 mgs Doxy for two weeks, 500 mgs amx the week before that and just started Acedolophilus last week.

My primary physician said based on that I had some IGM and some IGG that my infection is not that old....
I am now told that doesn't matter.... so my guess is I got it when I was little.. worst case scenario of course. I never saw a bite ever, and I had ticks all over me as a kid.
Can it lay dormant for years and just come out in you as an adult?

LB... Many of us here have IC... so maybe you've had this awhile.
Prednisone can make the Lyme spread. Bad news stuff.

Maybe Im wrong, but Im of the opinion that there could be a difference between when you became infected, and when it became active.
If you're lucky enough to see the tick, then have the symptoms follow within days, its a pretty safe bet as to when it started.
But for many people, they may have been bitten weeks, months, years ago, and the Bb might not have become active till later, perhaps once the immune system is very weak.

I believe how long one has been infected may vary from one individual to another and ones system may control the final outcome. With me it was a gradual come on but as with age came the final onset and full blown LYME. All the little unexplainable pains, tears, and the exteme fatigue that keep growing where all signs of LYME. If only I had knew about LYME Disease in the advanced form and had not relied on my education of LYME in my younger years. It was never so life threating and disabliting back then!
