I spent all night scratching my entire body. The insides of my ears, my scalp (omg!), my tummy, legs, arms, everything. I had more of a "pinkish" tint when I finally looked in the mirror around 5am.
This is my 3rd pulse of Rocephin and my 3rd day of Rocephin.
I don't look jaundiced, my eyes aren't yellow, neither is my skin.
Has anyone else had this affect while on abx? I am sure it's not an allergic reaction because like I said, it hasn't happen with all the other doses.
What do you think, herx or liver?

An allergic reaction can occur AT ANY TIME. Doesn't matter how long you've taken the drug!!!!
Call the nurse in charge of your IV!
Could also be yeast... but right now, call the nurse!!!

I go for a follow up on Wednesday morning with Dr. C in Tampa. I will ask him about it then.
Do you all think it's okay?
I did an Epsom salt bath last night, I wonder if that had anything to do with it?

I would be VERY concerned about giving yourself another dose of Rocephin....VERY concerned.

Google 'itching bile duct' lots of references there.
You could be getting gallstones from the rocephin, it's common.

it could be the bath, they made me itch too at first.
so it could be that.
id call to make sure its not a drug allergic reaction, but i doubt it

I itched while on IV Rocephin for a day or two. No throat swelling, or hives. Doctor said it could have been die off.
Benadryl help you? Take one and see. Tell your doc too. Hard to do on a holiday weekend.

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago. I itched all over all night and it drove me crazy! I think mine was a die off because it hasn't happened since.

I get the same and its when i herx. A lot of this pathogen ends up causing skin symptoms when u start killing it.

I took a nap, a loooooong one, I was just so tired. I woke up with a mild fever. I knew I didn't feel good! I told my husband I felt like crap. And indeed, a fever. I never get fevers.
I think it might be working is why. Or the Epsom salt bath dried out my skin or something.
I just don't know and honestly, I don't trust the nurse I have to talk to when I call.
We will see tomorrow. I do go the day after tomorrow for a follow up.
