Hi, my LLMD recommended that I do a ionic foot detox 3X weekly to help me with detoxing. He said that my lymphatics are really clogged up. So, lots of my initial treatment recommendations are to get things moving before any treatment.

Any tips on selecting a good unit or recommendations?

I haven't tried this foot bath detox but it sounds interesting. Maybe there's some place you can try it first before buying a unit? It seems that the good ones are a bit expensive.

Rebounding is also recommended for lymph detox.

some info about rebounding -

Lots of chiropractors and massage therapists use these machines. Try before you buy is a good suggestion.

I too wanted to recommend rebounding. An excellent and fun way to move the lymphatic system.

Here is the website of the unit I purchased. I can recommend this one. It is very well made with great bounce. You can buy cheaper ones, but my daughter has the $30 Wal-mart version and it is awful. She has already had to replace it once.

Hers is very small with practically no bounce.

Thanks Sparkle & Luvs for the rebounder recommendation. The problem is I have been bedridden for the better part of 3 years now. Not able to stand long enough to brush my teeth.

I have a rebounder ready for use for when I improve well enough to use it. Baby steps here.

My LLMD recommended starting with things like lymphatic massage weekly w/the supplement enzyme WOBENZYN, ionic foot detox, daily dry brushing of lymphatics, and a German homeopathic (PEKANA Basic Detoxification & Draingae Kit), Red Root Extract....so, he is throwing a punch at it to get things unclogged.

I have a laptop and can use it reclined on a laptray angled with the help of a pillow. I tried to do some research on the foot detox units to learn more, but haven't been well enough to manage with it. I am having to research so many things that he recommended at my last visit. Primarily working on finding the supplement resources. His office ordered the PEKANA for me (I think it can only be ordered through a doctor's office).

DH is taking me for lymphatic massage today so I can ask my practitioner what she knows. I think the devil is in the details with the longevity factor of the "array" part of the unit. I remember researching them months ago before I first saw my LLMD, but now can't find the links in favorite places. My cognitive problems are in full bloom from the past two weeks of having to go to various appts...far exceeds my pacing capacity.

I would really like to just rest. But, my next appt is in 5 weeks, and I won't be able to move to Phase II of my treatment plan until I have done all things in Phase I, which includes this dang foot detox thing 3x weekly.

I use Erchonia's EBPro with great results. It is a key part of my ongoing detox regimen - wouldn't want to be without it.

My LLMD also recommended an ion foot detox.

The above link is my way of keeping track of how things are going.

it also has the web site of where I got the spa from. It was a gift.

I am in contact with the company every two weeks and find them very pleasant and encouraging.

And ...darn forgot....oh yes. They donate to LDA.

Also wanted to add I am able to brush my teeth now in the am.

haven't progressed to brushing in the pm yet.

And I too am lying in bed as I type.

And it is rare I put on even mascara and liner since coming down with lyme.

But, I do put on my shades when going out in my power chair so the eye thing is covered. [Smile]

Thanks everyone for the replies!

Kam, I am so sorry you are in this bad of shape as well! It's rough, I know. I am praying that my LLMD can get me to independent living capacity. Prayers, thoughts, and hugs to you. Thanks for sharing the Foot Detox info. I'll check it out.

Dr Loyd of www.royalrife.com recommends a cheap simple solution on how to make your own that is supposed to work. Look under mold and lyme toxins.

I use GTech Body Cleanse from same makers as Asyra. I like it. Would also consider the IonCleanse.

I considered an ionic footbath until a nurse I know described how a doctor she used to work for warned her not to run/warm the bath too long before "treating" the patients with it. The problem was that the nasty gunk formed in the bath when it's run anyway, even with no feet in it. Since the patients assumed that the gunk would come out of them, pre-gunked footbath water robbed the "magic" from the soak.

That doesn't mean that the ionic footbath doesn't do something beneficial, but I wouldn't accept a post-soak gunk-filled tub as proof of removal of anything from the body.

Sure - the color of the water will turn dark even without feet. That is not a sign that they don't work and the color should not be the focus.
