Has anyone had sleep paralysis as a result of lyme? Ever since I got sick I have been having episodes of being in Stage 1 sleep being paralyzed for 30 seconds to a minute.

It scares me sometimes as I remember the episodes clearly and I hate the feeling of being helpless and unable to move. What are some options to treat it?

Yes. I had it as well. The best thing to do is not struggle. It will pass.

I've had this on two occasions before I was dx. It totally freaked me out. But, I agree...just be calm, it will pass.

Ive had this, or something that resembles it, for the past couple years. It didnt happen the first few years. Those little lyme bugs just get tired of being in one place and so they move around.

This is mentally scary but I dont think it really has any important health negatives.

It only happens when I nap and Im not really paralysed but I feel like I cant move my lower legs and arms and when Im finally able to move and get up its hard to walk but I push myself and within 10 min. I can be walking the dog.

When I walk the dog I make myself go at a really fast pace. I think about it like low dose meds or high dose meds. The higher the dose the more benefit I will get. I also get a strong mental lift just from the fact that Im able to push myself to meet my goal in spite of those darn lymies.
