Yesterday, my ankles and feet were obviously swollen. I have no history of heart problms or retaining fluid. I am only 42, and other than Lyme, Babesia and anemia, I am in good health.
Lat night and today, I have urinated over 15 times and the fluid has clearly left my legs and feet.
Could this be something other than Lyme or co-infection to worry about. I am currently on 100 Doxy twice daily until I have my first LLMD on Sept 16th.
Thanks!

inflammation. Die off from the bacteria can/will cause inflammation. It is the body's defense.
The fact you cleared it so quickly is a very good sign that you detox really well. If so, that will serve you well in your path to healing.
I had to chuckle at your line

Thanks Luvs. I worried because this has never happened before, even when I first obviously herxed. This came out of the blue.

My legs swell at night, and I can't make a fist in the morning.
Thanks for bringing this up.

Be sure to still drink lots of water but also replenish electrolytes - and sea salt with organic lemon juice.
Gentle excercise, massage and warm baths with epson salts should help.
I have just started andrographis and notice a considerable reduction of ankle and hand swelling. This is far superior to effects from dandelion and also specific as part of a borrelia protocol.
see section 7: Antibacterial / Antimalarial & Filaricidal
Excerpt:
AP extracts are also efffective in killing filaria (microscopic worms) that obstruct lymph channels in the body, leading to gross swelling termed elephantiasis.

As it can have a sedative effect, be sure to try it first when you won't be driving until you become adjusted to it.
It's important to start slowly and increase dosage over a matter of several weeks. The first week I was on an increased dose (as per Buhner), I was more exhausted than usual, so planning ahead - getting food prepared, etc. might help.
I did not notice this on the lower dose but I also did not notice the reduction in swelling. Nice side effect: better sleep.
