I am new to this site and has anyone here been able to completely get rid of BLO? If so, how?

I've been wondering the same thing myself. I was going to ask this as well. My doc didn't bother testing for co-infections, maybe because he just "knows" by your symptoms. He did say he suspected Bart but he didn't say if the treatment that I am on covered Bart as well.
Does anyone know if Rocephin and Flagyl address Bart? Didn't mean to hijack your question!

I think it's so invasive it's impossible to get rid of.
What we are hoping for is to knock it down enough that the immune system takes over and keeps it suppressed.
It may be something that will crop up now and again as life deals us a blow.
Until there is something better, my daughter said she is willing to take abx the rest of her life not to go back to where she was two years ago.

I had lyme, babs, and bart. My lyme doc got rid of all 3 for me.
It's been 3 1/2 years now, no meds, no symptoms. I am enjoying life--the same life I had before lyme and company.
I also have friends who got rid of bart along with lyme and babs. We all went to docs who treated as per Burrascano.

Thanks for all the replies. TF, I assume you took Levaquin? I am correct? Dr Z says that he can cure Bartonella...out of your DNA?! That's a strong statement. Have any of you tried the HH capsule yet?

TF- who was your LLMD? How long did you treat for?
I'm weaning off meds after 2 years-I can't tell if my lingering symptoms are side effects, of still lyme/babs/bart.

Yes you can get rid of bart but it can take a while with some patients and you may have to use a combination of drugs
The key is to ensure your medication works to its optimum level as bart hides in the tissues etc. and you often have to retreat a few times until it is irradicated.
You must also ensure all co-infections are treated before lyme Thats a MUST so you can treat lyme at the same time but you have to treat bart/babs at the beginning as otherwise lyme treatment often fails
For deeper drug penatration you can use Trental, heparin and Bolouke and then you bart Drugs and Levaquin is not your only option
I used IV Rifampin with IV ceftriaxone but you must take another ab with rifampin but when not on rifampin I then use Malarone 4 a day with art gel for babesia
IV gentomycin - this is showing great results apparantly
Moxifloxacin 400mg qd-bid or Levofloxacin 500-750 mg qd x 4-12 weeks. May add Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole DS bid.
Rifampin 600 mg qd with doxycycline or azithromycin.
Azithromycin and Doxycycline sometimes effective in combo.
Linezolid and Tygacil show promise.
Some say flagyl can treat bart but you would not use that until the end of your treatment as if you are so sick from lyme you need to get that load down before risking blasting open more cysts. But again its no good taking IV Rocephin unless your co-infections are treated along side it.
