All of you who posted regarding treatment and hair loss: Did your hair loss stop after a while? Did it grow back?

I started treatment in May and my hair has been falling out since mid-July. It is freaking me out!

I read that this happened to others. Just looking for some input.

Yes, mine grew back. [Smile]

Be sure to check your thyroid levels as low thyroid can compound the situation.

Once I started treating thyroid and got on abx, my hair stopped falling out. If you haven't already, check for TSH, T3, and T4 levels.

I'm now on Synthroid (T4) and Cytomel (T3).

Added in to hair loss from hypothyroid, diflucan makes my hair fall out also.

I still have plenty enough hair to put in a pony tail.

I know it is thinner, but no one else does. [Big Grin]

It is definitely more noticeable (falling out part) when it is long like mine.

Diflucan? Is that a side effect? I just started it for my mold exposure.
