I'm always worse in the AM.
This sounds serious, though. Have you been to a doctor?
Some people get Bell's Palsy. I think it's a neurological illness that affects the nerves in your face - from Lyme. You may want to do a search & check it out.

I am not a dr but have you gone to a chiropractor or neurologist to see if you have pinched nerves? Or perhaps the way you are sleeping.
It could be a lot of things so you need to rule out some of the more obviouos ones.
Good luck.

Yes, it has been one of my main symptoms.
The falling asleep sensation may affect both
sides of my body, the left side or the right
side or may affect one limb at a time. I can be
having a normal day then out of the blue my
forearm feels as if someone has hung 5 pounds on
it. Once in a while my left foot will drag
because I can't lift it or my chest will feel
numb and I can't feel my heart beating. It is
scary. I would still have it checked out like the
others suggested to rule out other
possibilities. Take care.

all this has been going on for 3.5 years
i've had all the neurological tests they make...all are normal...i've been to parkinsons speicalists, ms speicalist, neuromuscular speciaist (they specialize in als and muscular dystrophy)...they all say "NORMAL" exam and tests.
then i had all the rheumy tests done too
i had a positive ana but, that was it.
i have swollen glands, low grade fever, all the neuro symptoms mentioned for lymes. positive IFA, and WB IGG: bands 41 and 31, IGM: 41.
