Hellooo <<<<< Lymer Family >>>>>,

Thur. pm. while getting ready for bed, I found a strange lump behind left ear.

Area was tender,so I tho't it might be a pimple. Instead, it is a hard lump that comes almost to a point, and can be shifted very slightly over the bone.

Right ear has had an 'Arthritis bump'[as the Duck called it] behind it for years. It can be slightly shifted, but is not generally sore, nor is it pointed.

The left ear one, hurts. Is this some sort of herx reaction? It is only not particularly discolored, not really bruised looking or red.I'm not sure what it is.

Any ideas? Tho'ts? I'm at a loss, has this been happening to others here?

I take Prima Uno de Gato-Cats Claw, *Oil of Oregano, *Pure Virgin Coconut Oil, Ginger capsules, Magnesium, and occasionally Astragulus
[* = recent additions].

I'll take a guess.

A cyst maybe....I get these occasionally on my ribs.

They hurt to touch and can be moved around.

Had it looked at by a specialist.

Can't remember the medical name though.

Or maybe an inflamed lymph node.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hugs,

Geneal

I get those too, behind my ear, in front of my ear lobe, or under the ear slightly. They always go away, but sometimes take a few days to a couple weeks.

Probably just a sebaceous cyst and nothing to worry about.

I had the same thing but it came up on my wrist. It became as big as a nut and now is almost gone.

Also I have been chasing bart .for so long and now shows that my body need only 1 pill HH capsules from 15 I used to take amd many other combos.

I wonder if it has to do with lyme or bart also?

Not sure if this is right, but I think I recall reading in Dr. Schaller's first bartonella book that swollen lymph nodes behind the ear are a sign of bart. He even has pictures of it.

I have suffered with borrelia lymphocytomas in my earlobes. They can also occur in the breast nipple area.

BL's are hard little balls of immune system material that form in response to Lyme. Mine are often very sore and sometimes ooze fluid. It feels like a little bean from a bean bag and sometimes appears red.

BL's have long been associated with the European strains of Lyme, but obviously they occur here, too.

See the photo at BL picture.

See the info at web page. Or try googling it.

<<<<< Geneal, disturbedme, Alv, tickbattler, and T2JRW, >>>>>,

Thanks for the replies and info'!

My brain isn't turning sentences quite right at the moment.

Am wondering if it is a BL,or cyst etc. It isn't red at the moment, just sore.

Usually if it was a pimple,it'd be tender, and hurt, and pop open after a day of three.

I've been gettin the earlobe knots from time to time as well. But it is unusal for me to get them actually behind the ear.

I do have some swollen lymph nodes right now too. The behind the ear bump, seems to be above where the lymph node is,and the node by the ear isn't particularly swollen.

There is some swelling on sides of my throat tho' as well. I'll BBL...as I am a bit dizzy, and achey.

I've had soem miclonus episodes recently. and the jerking was painful.

Thanks again from Silverwolf

Trying to get into the 'Free Clinic' in area, which can take a few weeks. [TxCoord will do minimal community service to pay for it!].

Will have them take a look at this,if it hasn't gone away.

Had this behind the RIGHT ear - about halfway down.

Started as more of a 'sensation' than a pain. I actually metioned it to my PCP about a year before I knew I was sick & got diagnosed - it was so odd. At the same time I also had fleeting 'sensations' in the right groin area. It did eventually turn to actual swelling and pain.

Of course now I ascribe it to Lyme & lymph node symptoms, and it has basically disappeared. I've treated with doxy or mino since Feb/March '07, I am a lot better all across the board.

Best -
