I hate these twitches more than anything, and the feeling that your body is anxious even when you aren't having anxiety.
I've read some past posts of people believing that twitching was related to bartonella.
Has anyone been "cured" of twitching via bartonella treatment? Or via anything, really... I guess I shouldn't limit it to bartonella.
Thanks so much, as always.

I haven't undergone heavy duty treatment for bartonella yet, but I will tell you that I believe twitching IS related to bartonella, because that symptom comes out for me when my other bartonella symptoms come out.

My daughter's twitching went away with the Biaxin/Plaquenil combo. She was never tested for Bart, just LD.

I tried rifampin + zith for suspected bartonella for 5 months. Did nothing for my twitches. I think mine are more lyme-related.

After over 6 months on levaquin I started to have the twitches and internal vibrations most of the time.
The bartonella red streaks are almost gone but this new symptom won't go away.
It does seem to get better when I drink a lot of water and increase magnesium although it gets worse quickly if I slack up on the water for even part of a day.
You might consider potassium, mag and other minerals to see if that helps the twitching.

I think most of my twitching problems went away w/ Lyme treatment, primarily Bicillin LA + other abx.

Would a tick be considered a twitch? My daughter who is being treated for bartonella is having her tick a lot right now. She makes a little noise in her throat. When she was younger it might have been wrinkling her nose or blinking a lot. Just hoping all these things go away! Karen

Has she been tested for Tourette's? It sounds like Tourettes.

for me, the twitching is definitely a twitch.
Like an eye twitch that normal people get when they're stressed, but it's all over my body.
Ticks are probably very similar though and I'm sure they're neurological in nature as well.
I bet it just depends on which neurotransmitters the bacteria is messing with.
Hopefully they'll go away for her soon. I hate to think of someone so young being so irritated by this.

I had a lot of right eyelid twitching and a sense of vibrational jolts -- both seem to be improving with bartonella treatment, but the bart treatment is slowwwwwww going. Be patient.
