I have to go back to my Pain management doctor AGAIN today.
The one that put me on the lowest dose of hydrocodaine there is... and lyrica... and topamax now. Which nothing has helped. The topamax isnt helping anything my jaw still feels like its going to explode 24.7... same with my head... and body pain is still the Same.
The only thing that seems to work is narcotics. BUt i hate asking for them b/c i am scared she is goign to look at me weird like YEAH RIGHT OK! [loco]

A lot of doctors i know look down on it [tsk]

But it honestly is the only thing that gets me through my days when i have it... it sounds HORRIBLE [shake]

But it really helps.

What can I tell her?
What do i do?1 [confused]

I'd just be honest. Personally, I probably wouldn't be the one to bring up narcotics, but would say "These medications aren't helping me, what else can we try?"

For one thing, you're less likely to get "that look", but also your doctor may have some other suggestions that you haven't tried yet.

I think we discussed this before. What did you say about Ultram or Tramadol. Have you tried those?

Yup i have been taking tramadol for years... doesnt help

My impressions of narcotics are that there so addictive that after a few weeks they dont work..or you have to increase the dosage so bad that...to me...just not worth it.

I would worry more about seeing your blood...and attacking the bugs in it.

Um..btw...the cough suppressant DMX. is found to enhance the narcotics effect of pain relief! In fact...even used alone..it appears to help pain! And I AGREE as I have used it. But I have to take it with food.
