There's another reason to be careful of indomethacin/indocin. It also reduces blood flow to the brain significantly. I had problems for this reason. I don't know if most LLMDs or other doctors are aware of this.

Just one of many studies:

"RESULTS: Indomethacin caused a significant reduction of CBV (maximal changes in cerebral blood volume: -320 +/- 171 microL/100 gm)..."

Here's another study:

"Data from animal models and randomized, controlled studies with pre-term infants have shown that i.v. IND [indomethacin] produces rapid, significant reductions in cerebral blood flow (CBF). Controlled studies of i.v. IND in normal volunteers show a reduction in CBF from 26%-40%"

I took it for quite awhile before my Lyme diagnosis. I would avoid it if possible. Doesn't it also suppress the immune system??

I would Google that and see what you find. Celebrex would be far safer.... and celebrex is not that safe!!

PS... YES, it's hard on the stomach.
