For a few weeks or so ive been noticing that i have been having very frothy and bubbly urine. Sometimes it will also smell a little bit.
Right now i am taking mepron and biaxin and about to start IV doxy. Do u think the mepron could cause the frothy urine?
Someone mentioned that means protein in the urine?...and that its from some sort of kidney dysfunction.
I really hope not. What do u guys think?
Have any of you experienced the frothy urine?

Ive had it on and off, but havent had it recently.
I have also heard it could mean protein in the urine.
I know there were a few posts on this in the past.

It could be an indicator of porphyria. For information on secondary porphyria, check out cpnhelp.org. It's not that unusual for people with Lyme to also be co-infected with Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cpn). Porphyria commonly affects those with chronic Cpn infection, and it's exacerbated with antibiotic treatment.

Thanks guys. Ive heard that it is most likely from protien in the urine.
The question i have is can mepron cause this sort of problem directly or affect the kidneys?
Is there any sort of specifics to which kidney problems may cause protein in the urine?

I actually have seen thru the years that that seems to be a symtpom from a GOOD treatment plan.
I also had that problemo.
