Hi,

I have been taking abx for lyme since start of May, so for about 5 months. I started with doxy and amoxil and have recently started rifampin and now biaxin.

Had decent herx's from 400mg doxy and a 3000 mg amoxil and also when I added garlic oil tablets (that was the worst).

Had a mildish one with 300mg rifampin but different from normal on in that it was joint pain in my hip and lower back.

I have not started 1000mg biaxin and don't really feel much of a herx at all.

Is this a sign that the infection load is reducing or something else?

I haven't targeted cyst form with flagyl yet, but plan to before finishing off. Maybe they're all in hiding

My symptoms are 80-90% better. Main things left a bit of anxiety, tingling feet at times, joint cracking, but generally much improved.

Any opinions or thought appreciated.

Thanks

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
I have been on abx since May 2nd. So I guess we started about the same time.
I am on Flagyl and have been since day one of diagnosis. I also take Azithromycin and Mepron.
I am so much better and also have been wondering the same thing.

I know I am getting better, but I would like to herx as much as I can until this is gone.

I was sick for 2 years before diagnosed.
My doctor told me at his last visit that he didn't think I would make it and I now am probably 90 percent better.

My main issue now is my back (adrenals or kidneys mayber) hurts. I also hurt all over. It gets worse shortly after my abx.

I was falling down, using a cane, had tourette's-like symptoms, high bp, skin burning air hunger, heart palpitations, thyroid issues and many other things (about 2 pages of symptoms) and now most of them are better or gone.

I have heard that garlic and bromelein (from pineapple) can help you herx harder. Also garlic helps break the blood/brain barrier.

Take care,

Thanks everyone.

As I mentioned, I still have to target cyst form, but I'm wondering how long do I do this for and how long should I continue abx??

When I stop do I just go cold turkey or should I use some herb or something to maintain coverage??

I am terrified of relapsing and wasting all this hard work.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Kelly
