Irritability is definitely a Lyme symptom. My partner and his young son became more annoying to me after I got sick.
I have found that taking lithium orotate and fish oil capsules has helped. Lithium orotate is NOT the drug lithium, it is a mineral and is available over the counter. As far as I know it has no side effects.
If you take fish oil, make sure the bottle says it has no mercury in it. You could also try 5 HTP or L-Tryptophan, which are also available over the counter. Obviously, talk to your doctor first before trying any of these.
