Hi everyone. I took Ceftin initially for 4 weeks. I actually felt better, in terms of the

overall feeling like crap, but my joint/muscle pain did not improve. So, per my protocol given

to me by Dr. C., I switched to 4 weeks of Zithro. I do not care for the Zithro at all. I

feel like crap all of the time, nauseous, anxious, and no improvement on pain. The next

ABX on my list to fill is Flagyl. But, I am almost thinking that I should go back to the

Ceftin and give that another whirl. What do you all think. I have 2 more days of Zithro..thank God.

How about Ceftin AND Flagyl? Combos work great on Lyme. Zith was a brutal drug for me, but I handled Biaxin just fine. You could also add Biaxin to Ceftin and Flagyl.

Sixgoofykids-

Does 3 days pulsing for only one month sound right for Flagyl? I'm on biaxin, mino, and plaquenil.

Thanks!!

I have never tried ceftin.

But I have tried flagyl.

Flagyl is a brutal drug that can cause nerve damage.

Given that you felt better on the ceftin, and knowing what I know about flagyl,

Which in my estimation is primarily a cyst buster,

I would go back on the ceftin if I were you.

Of course I'm no doctor.

Is your doctor suggesting the flagyl, or are you?

My protocol called for: Ceftin, then Zithro, then Flagyl, then Doxy. I was told that if I

had improvement on a particular ABX, to stay on it. If I did not or plateaued, move on to the

next one on the list. He never talked about doubling them up?? I'm confused. What I do know is that Zithro makes me feel like crap.

Mandy, I didn't take Flagyl, I took Tindamax and I did pulse it - 7 days per month.

Havefaith, check out the Dr. B guidelines at www.ilads.org

He talks about antibiotic combinations. Lyme exists in three forms, using combos aggressively goes after Lyme in its various forms simultaneously.
