I think the Herx monster is taking me over again. Could people share their Mepron herxes so I know what to expect? And how many days/weeks into treatment did the herx start or get really bad?

Mepron hasn't really given me a herx and I'm on double dose. I don't know that violent herxes occur with babesia. I seem a bit more tired while taking it that's about it.

My daughter started with suicidal thoughts within the first three days. She saw peripheral hallucinations, as well as physical discomfort.
She had to back off and start very slowly. But, the herx or side effects of that medication never let up. She had a horrible ride for four months.
Saying that, I believe it really moved her forward.
After that, minocycline catapulted her further. She is gratefulf or that drug.

Didn't experience a herx on Mepron. Sorry. Just because I didn't doesn't mean you won't. It appears that each drug works differently for each person.
