I am now diagnosed with Babesia, Bartonella and Lyme and have been put on Zithromax 250 mg twice a day and Mepron liquid 1 tsp. twice a day.
Has anyone ever heard of this combination before. I also had heard that long term Zithromax use could cause heart damage.
Any truth to that rumor?
I know I haven't posted much because I don't know much about this disease to help others, but any feedback would be appreciated kindly.
Thanks

This is a time tested, standard treatment for babesia.

In Dr. Burrascano's slides for his recent presentation, he said to treat Bartonella before Babesia.
For those of you who are more knowledgable than me (which is most of you), what do you think of treating Babs right away in lieu of starting out treating the Bartonella with Levaquin as Dr. B recommends?
Pi, please don't think I'm 2nd guessing your protocol, as I don't know enough to do so. I just asked these questions based on what I recently read from Dr. B.
I think that that likelihood of potential heart damage from zithromax is nil compared to the damage that would surely be done to your entire body by not treating these infections. Zithromax seems to be a part of most lyme patients' protocols at some point during treatment. From what I've read, zith actually seems less potentially toxic than Flagl, Levaquin, Cipro and the others that tend to have more side effects and cause bigger herxes.
