An enlarged tongue, so that you have teeth marks along the sides is also a classic sign of hypothyroidism, a common condtion in Lyme patients.
Please get a complete thyroid blood panel done, including T3 and T4, reverse T3, and anti-thyroid antibodies. Do not settle for just a TSH test....it will miss those with conversion problems, and is not as accurate as the other tests. You need the whole picture.
Also, normal ranges for the TSH were changed back in 2003, but labs have not kept up. Ask for a copy of your results, even if you are told they are normal, and look at your TSH. TSH should be below 1.5, otherwise it warrants a trial of treatment, preferrably with Armour Thyroid.
New research shows a TSH over 2.4 confers a 69% increase in heart attack risk. Untreated hypothyroidism also will eventually result in osteoporosis.
Armour Thyroid has been the single best thing that ever happened to me in terms of treating my fatigue. Your problem may not be your thyroid, but IMO, it needs to be ruled out.
