Okay, my husband has always done pretty well with my feeling like holy hell for the last year

and a half...but just recently has had a change for the better. At this point, I think he would

actually do some reading on the subject. Can you all give me the title of one good book...that would encompass the most information

for him?? I think if I inundate him with too much reading material...he might be overwhelmed.

cure unknown by pam weintraub, very good book well written and covers almost all the bases.

I am going to second Cure Unknown. My husband reluctantly agreed to read one Lyme book, so I picked that one, and he is completely into reading it. Now, he will even bring up Lyme, having read something interesting in the book.

I also dragged him out to see Under Our Skin last weekend. Wasn't quite his idea of a perfect date night. But he was blown away by it (as was I). If you have the chance to see it, do!

Thanks pj and Julie. I will order the book right now. Also...I ordered "Under Our Skin" on Tuesday. Hope to have it soon.

I also agree with Cure Unknown. Such a great book.

I agree with everyone about Cure Unknown.

I would also add Beating Lyme by Constance Bean. This book was just published. It's shorter and a little less scientific sounding than Cure Unknown but still effectively covers the bases.

There are also articles, brochures and other short pieces that might be helpful.

I've not read "Cure Unknown" but from what I've read about it - and excerpts - it sounds great as far as helping others understand.

If you can get two, I find this book to be excellent:

This book, by an ILADS member LLMD, holds great information about pharmaceutical and complementary treatments (and self-care):

faith,

if your husband would like to read personal stories, i recommend PJ LANGHOFF'S, IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD, BOOK 2, 80 stories around the world!!

you learn alot thru these how different each of us are.

she also has book 1, but it's basic, and more of HER story of hell of going thru the court system trying to get her 2 kids, etc.

if you have poor eyesight like me, she has LARGE version, and i bought both of them in larger version! very pleased with both.

hoping cure unknown will go on audio and i can get it that way since the poster has long paragraphs and i can't read and comprehend ... so not buying the book.

Havefaith,

Yeah for hubby! It's always nice to have your spouse on board when suffering like this.

Since you say that you have ordered "Cure Unknown" and "Under our Skin", both of which I too would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend as a major eye opener.......I think he will learn more than he would have ever thought.

Both are EXCELLENT choices. Let us know how it goes.

Cathy
