Hi Everyone,

I am confused, Dr. B recommends Pharmanex's multi in his guidelines, my LLMD recommends Basic Preventive Five by Emerson Ecologics.

I have used both brands for a little while but would like your opinion about what you would consider to be a really good multivitamin.

I am a postmenopausal female in my 50's who is not currently on abx.

Thanks for your help!

I like Metagenics Multi-Min Chelate. You are supposed to take it 3x/day, but I only take 1x/day. Even at this dose, I noticed reduced pain (pre-lyme). But I never tried the other brands, so maybe they would have done the same.

My LLMD tells me to take Centrum.

I take Rainbow Lite Women's One. This vitamin really packs a punch and its only one tablet a day.

I feel the difference when I take it.

AOR Ortho-Core is the most thoroughly researched and best formulated multivitamin/multimineral currently available in any market. If anyone disagrees, I invite you to reply so I can defend this statement in earnest.

I'm taking Nature's Way ALIVE. I'm not convinced it's the best multivitamin, but it is the best I've found that I can buy myself.

Many of the other vitamins recommended on this thread are probably much better, but require you to purchase from a doctor. Since none of my doctors (including my LLMD who is considered one of the best) recommends or offers any particular multi-vitamin, my only options are what I can buy at a store or online through Vitacost, etc.

There is a doctor office near me that sells Metagenics products, so I get many supplements there. But I haven't found anywhere that sells Life Pak or any other brands.

I tried buying Life pak through Pharmanex on my own, and it was much more expensive than what I've heard you can buy through a doctor. I just can't afford (or rather can't fathom spending) $140/month on my multivitamin in addition to all my other medications and supplements!

If anyone can help me find your recommended vitamins through a doctor or another distributor near me in Calif, please let me know.

Thanks!

I like the Natures way ALive Multi because it's a Wholefood Vitamin even if it may NOT be the very best. It has a lot of good reviews on VitaCost.. plus, I am all set with synthetics. [Smile]
