Just wondering what the "latest" is on how us Lymies are supposed to be keeping these viruses (such as, EBV, HHV6, etc) "in check" while we treat our tick borne diseases. I did a search but didn't find anything too earth-shattering.

Enzymes? (like Virastop by Enzymedica)
I also have Oregano Oil in my cabinet?
I have homeopathic drops called "Virus" from Desert Biologicals?
Valcyte?

....others?

I did 8 months of valcyte for CMV, EBV and HHV6.

Pain with all the bloodwork though. [Frown]

Okay I admit I hate needles.

While my titers came down, it really did not change how I felt over all.

Just my very honest opinion.

My LLMD said that it was about 50/50 with his patients.

Some felt markedly better.

Some like me.....didn't.

I would still do it again though.

Hugs,

Geneal

Hoosier51~

It really is best to try to identify what viruses you are sick with. Also see if chlamydia pneumonia (Cpn) and/or mycoplasma pneumonia are problems. Some viruses to check for: HHV-6, EBV, Parvovirus, and Enterovirus.

I did have high antibody titers to HHV-6, EBV, VZV and HSV1. Valcyte dropped those to normal limits. It was also found I had high antibody titers to Cpn so I am on doxy for that.

I am now on acyclovir for the viruses and doxy for Cpn. There is some concern that I also have chronic infection with HHV-7 and enterovirus. (Tissue positive for these viruses).

For further info see: www.hhv-6foundation.org and www.cpnhelp.org

Best,
Timaca

I take LOMATIUM. It REALLY WORKS on my herpes simplex I lip sores.

I read about it on a forum, a second-hand account of a woman who took LOMATIUM for 4 months and cured herself of lyme. she persevered in spite of all the skin welts.

The directions on the bottle say to stop taking it if it makes welts. The first time i took it, it did make a circular welt on the above-lip area where my herpes sores appear. It only did that the first time.

Now i take 1/4 tsp (about 30 drops) 2 or 3 times a day with meals and pills. I've bought 3 diferent brands.

The fascinating thing about it is that it protected the Washoe Indian tribe from the pandemic flu in 1918. You can find herbalists' directions for extracts, decoctions etc of Lomatium. One said that it takes one pound of Lomatium herb to treat 3 days of pandemic flu.

So i'm hoping it would work on the future H5N1 bird flu!

It's in the parsley family and tastes like parsley.

The remedy frequency thread is interesting.

Oregano oil can be very good. My stomach just can't handle it so I've looked to other things.

Allicin. Andrographis. Olive Leaf Extract.

Each has antiviral properties.

According to Buhner's research (in "Healing Lyme . . ." at http://tinyurl.com/5vnsjg ), Andrographis does cross the BBB - Blood Brain Barrier.

According to Zhang's research, ( http://tinyurl.com/5drx94 ), allicin also crosses the BBB.

The nice thing about Myrolea-B is that some of the ingredients help the body move out toxins and decrease inflammation.

Looking back over posts, how could I have forgotten about LOMATIUM? Yes, it is fabulous. Absolutely.

I've just dug out a 2 oz. bottle of LDM-100. Lomatium Dissectum

It has always helped for acute stuff and, combined with Isatis 6 (or Ilex 15) by Seven Forests, will stop a cold in its tracks for me everytime.

ProBoost packets. 3xdaily for 3 months. Supposed to be lower levels of EBV and possibly HHV6 according to Dr. Teitelbaum et al.

I've taken it for months, but have leveled off to 1 or 2 a day. I've returned to work.
