Hi All,

I am wondering about a couple of things.

I started using Progesterone cream (the good stuff recommended on another post) about 10 days ago. I apply in the AM and the PM.

I have not gotten my period since May.

Bottom line is, my boobs are now getting swollen and sore. I think this has something to do with the Progesterone cream. Any ideas on this?

Thanks,
Teresa

I'm going to try to explain this so it makes some kind of sense [Big Grin]

Progesterone re-sensitizes the estrogen receptors in your body - causing sore boobs and other fun stuff. I'll try to find a link on it and post it later b/c there's actually much more to it than that.

Why did you start taking progesterone? I have endometriosis and I was taking it for a while but it made my endo worse and I walked around feeling like my boobs were being ripped off my body most of the time...so I quit!

I'll post that link as soon as I find it.

Hi Lauren,

Thanks for your response. I started taking it because I had all of the symptoms of progesterone dominance. My hair was falling out, I have not been getting my period, extreme tiredness, etc. I figured I would give it a try and see if it helped. From what I read, many people need it anyway because even environmentally, most of us are subjected to alot of estrogen without even realizing it. And being sick on top of that I thought it wouldn't hurt to try.

I stopped the cream for one day and have started spotting, not sure what this means, but I am thinking that my period may not be far behind.

may want to get with knowledgable doc. who does

bio-identical hormone therapy. usually if

had too much progesterone supplement can make you

have more than one cycle per month. just do your

research on the doc, i got with one who was not

following the protocols and helped for a bit

but now that i know lyme is the real prob. am

addressing this first, but i know has messed up

my hormones something bad...will look to add in

later with different doc. who knows what they r

doing. hope that helps
