dose anybody have this prolactin(milk) issues or suffer from constantly swollen breast?
or maybe have some information about connection between milk production and lyme?
i'm on dostinex for a long time because of my high prolactin, can it be somehow related?

I also have a milk production problem-It is a big problem-
I also have a place underneath my right arm-
Below the pit-there is a mass there-
It moves so I have been told this is normal-as long as it moves-
But it really hurt-its worse certain times of the month-
I am also really worried it-
But it is just one of my complaints!

Hi,
When the Lyme first turned Neurological for me, I lactated ( had enough milk to feed 10 babies!) and had no period for 3 monthes, but my prolactin level was normal at that time.
Who ever put you the meds. for your high prolactin level give you an explanation for your level??????
I'm just finding out that I have a lot of pitutary or and adrenal issues. Serum rusults--Low sodium (always), low DHEA, IGF-1, ACTH but normal cortisol??????
Maybe you should see an Endocrinologist??? I think it would be a good ideal.

Does your dostinex control your prolactin levels? What is your current level? If your prolactin is still high, it could be causing issues....
B-6 may also help lower prolactin somewhat...

i was diagnosed with prolactinoma two years ago and now on dostinex.
it helps, but my fibromyalogy-hypothyroidism-somethingelse symptoms got worse since then without any explanation from doctors of course.
Prolactin within the range and there is no milk now but sometimes I feel like a feeding mom.
have low sodium also, B12 and D as well... waiting for my ACTH result.
just found out about lyme and try to get some information about those lesions or cysts on lyme's MRI.
It's already not a good idea to see endocrinologist because I've seen around 7 of them for the last year.
So finally looking for llmd.
Thanks for any information.
bettyg,
I'm happy to made you laugh, at least somebody can do it here. Posted by scared08 (Member # 14695) on :
Mork,
I'm sorry you're having such trouble! You've seen 7 Endo.'s with nothing explained and no help!!!
Have you already been tested for lyme? I'm sorry if you've already mentioned that and I missed it. When did you have your MRI and where are the lesions???
I know this feels like the 3rd degree-sorry, but did they give you anything for you low sodium level? MY LLMD put me on Forinef.
The LLMD I see is Dr. J in S.C. and he's wonderful!!! I've seen several Dr.'s and he is the first to find all of the other things going on with me and has much knowlegde. He doesn't just treat the Lyme and the normal complications that goes with it.
If you can travel that far, I highly recommend him, especially with all of your hormone problems!!!
I know how frusterated you are, and I pray that you'll find help soon!!

In mice...prolactin spontaneously restored the myelin sheath...the "insulation" around the nerves.
