He's not exactly an LLMD...I don't think, but takes an alternative medicine approach to care. He was recommended to me specifically for Lyme and as he is cheaper and I'm all for alternative medicine I decided to go ahead and go for it.
Anyone ever hear anything about a Dr. V in Maryland?

I don't think he uses abx .. did you ask? He IS on our "official list" of LLMD's.

Uh oh. Not necessarily a bad uh oh, either... just a surprised one. LOL.
Yes, I know who you are talking about. He is the first person who diagnosed me with lyme. I am not seeing him anymore, but a *real* LLMD. My husband is now seeing Dr. V though because we do believe he is "lyme friendly" and he takes our insurance.
He believes in chronic lyme and believes it's passed on through sex and pregnancy, etc., etc., etc., and believes most things ducks do not. He also will treat long term. I think he is sort of 'trying' to become an LLMD, but in my opinion, he's not quite there yet... but I am happy that he's trying because we need as many of them as we can get.
I'll pm you the rest though so as not to get into a convo on here about a doctor and my opinions on him...

but related to the medical questions, anyone know of someone that may have gotten better from Lyme with vitamins and herbal treatments? I'd love to that route if I could, my doxy is killing me, or at least feels like it will.

Vitamins alone curing lyme or putting it in remission, no...
Herbs, on the other hand, can pack a punch and many people like going that route instead of antibiotics. There are some who believe herbs can do the job and many who don't... so....
It's really up to you.
ALSO - you feel like the Doxy is killing you...
It's probably a herx and most people herx while treating lyme. Antibiotics will cause a herx, but so will herbs, so either route you go, you will most likely herx. Sometimes there's no escaping that... the only way is THROUGH.
