Hi, I am not new here by any means but have not posted in a LONG time about myself. I am currently on Rifampin 300mg twice per day for bartonella along with ZIth for lyme.
I messed up this morning in my tired stupor and took 2 of my rifampin pills. SIGH
600mg at one time. Any ideas if I will hava a problem with this? I called poison control in a panic and she seemed to think It will be fine just possible stomach upset.
Any one else ever taken that much at one time?
Have any of you had a herx in the form of itching?
One of my bart symptoms is itchy bumps and itchy hard lumps on my ankles, it seems to be flared on the rifampin.

Pattie, I took 600 mg of Rifampin daily, and always took it all at once.You're fine! I did this because it was easier to have an empty stomcah once per day than twice. Take care Kris
