I have been having symptoms (joint, muscle, and bone pain, gastrointestinal problems, dizziness/lightheadedness, fatigue, etc.) that seem to fit with Lyme, and pretty much nothing else, for over a year now. My doctors say I am a mystery and can't figure it out.
I am going in to see a Naturopath that is Lyme-literate in a week and a half.
Today I had a headache that lasted for hours (despite taking Advil, which almost never helps) and I also experienced neck stiffness.
Later, I got a pain right underneath the top of my ribs cage, in the middle. I guess the best way to explain the location would be that it was just below bra line in the center of my chest/abdomen.
It is a very sharp pain that lasted for quite a while.
All of the sudden I also got severely light-headed and lethargic.
The pain has been continuing on and off for a few hours now and, although I am now feeling a lot better, the pain has returned.
I often get random things like this happening for what seems like no reason and are anywhere from brief to quite long.
I just thought I'd check with ya'll to see if this seems consistent with symptoms that any of you have experienced?
My appt. is in less than two weeks, but I want so desperately to know what is going on and if there is anything that might help.
Thanks for your time.

Your symptoms are right in line with what I have. I have a clinical Dx of Lyme / Babesia. It seems like there is a strong chance you may have it. Of course, let your Naturopath decide. Good luck at your appointment.

For me those symptoms were lyme and babesia, and have gone away with treatment by an llmd. I had other symptoms too, but the chest pains were some of the scariest. Completely gone after antibiotics for an extended period.

I had this many years ago (way before my Lyme diagnosis). It is costochondritis and is very common with Lyme.
Don't know if this is what you have but it is scary. I thought I was having a heart attack but my doctor at least diagnosed that correctly. (He missed the Lyme completely).
Definition:
Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). It causes sharp pain in the costosternal joint -- where your ribs and breastbone are joined by cartilage. Pain caused by costochondritis may mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions.
