struggling with fatigue. I am the song leader for our church
services (we sing acapella) and have always had a
strong voice. Now if I'm only a little tired, I
can sing several songs before I start losing
notes. It's like when a string on a piano goes
bad. Every time you hit that note it goes plunk.
I lose more and more notes as I get more tired.
Sometimes I lose the high end of my range,
sometimes the middle and sometimes the low notes.
If I'm really exhausted, I have almost no voice
for singing or speaking. Anyone else have this?

Interesting you should ask that. I was talking yesterday with Dr. Stratton, a Chlamydia Pneumonia expert at Vanderbilt University.
I asked him what one symptom could indicate a chronic chlamydia pneumonia infection. He said laryngitis (hoarse voice). I don't have that, but I certainly have a Cpn infection (based on high IgG and IgA antibody titers).
I would suggest getting yourself tested for Cpn. A website for more info: www.cpnhelp.org

I'm not sure if it is a symptom, however I have experienced a hoarse voice that comes and goes.

I've had more of what I'd call a strangly/shaky voice. It has gotten much better with treatment.
What I have that I know of is Lyme, Myco P, EBV, POTS.
Guessing Lyme or Myco P caused it.

Hello ajisuun,
Welcome to Lymenet. I'm glad you found us, but sorry you're sick.
You may be interested in reading Dr. VTS's article "Bells Palsy of the Gut" and other GI Manifestations of Lyme and Associated Diseases.
This is a long article, but very informative and pretty easy to read. She explains why hoarseness can be a symptom of Lyme disease.
