I have been on mepron/ zith for 4 months and I have in the last
4 weeks become very fatigued.
This coincided with kidney pain and a new found stone.
I am wondering if the drugs I am on are causing this fatigue. I
wake up fine... take meds and boom I get so tired and weak.
Is this the meds or a herx?
I kind of want to stop treatment for babs and see if it is making
me sick... side effects wise. Not sure what to do... I dont want
to get worse.
Is there a treatment other than Mepron that is more effective.
I have no Insurance and this is breaking me financially.

Are you two on Artemisinin? I would look into it. At least take it with the Mepron and Zithromax. Some say it is even good with Zithromax alone.
The best way, (according to some.....I am only reporting what I have heard, I'm not a researcher), to do artemisinin is to pulse it because supposedly it stops working beyond 3 or 4 days.
So, some recommend (as do I) pulsing it 4 days on, 3 days off. Taking it throughout the day is also good because it doesn't stay in your system very long. If you still feel like you aren't getting enough, some recommend drinking grapefruit juice with it. (do this with caution. Also check with your pharmacist, grapefruit juice can cause toxic levels of other meds such as pain pills or sleeping pills, or antibiotics, antifungals, etc)
I know it seems like an herb couldn't possibly be stronger than an anti-malarial drug, but you may be surprised. I am a believer in artemisinin....I don't know about a cure yet because I took a break from my artemisinin to treat Bartonella, but I know it does something.
Nutricology (aka Allergy Research Group) and Holley Pharma are reputable brands. I already tried Nutricology so I am trying Holley next.
I think Nutricology also makes Artemisia which is weaker, so you may want to start on that if you are sensitive to Artemisinin. Start slowly, but some go up to 600mg per day total of artemisinin (200mg spaced out 3 times throughout the day, and 4 days a week). But I can't tolerate that much yet. Go slow, you don't want to have to stop it all together because you took too much.
Some people swear by this stuff....good luck.

Thanks Hoosiers, I've never even heard of Arteminsin despite my boxes full of herbs and supplements from the past. Perhaps I should try it, will talk to my LLMD in the future. Appreciate your help.
