Just wondering what the Lyme community's opinion of MSM for treating Lyme arthritis is?

I'm on 200mg doxy, but am having more inflammation, swelling, and problems. since I started.

My current anti-inflammatories are the occasional advil, fish oil, and zyflemad, none of which are doing very much.

Just curious about this as I haven't seen much mention of it on here.

MSM is great! There have been a few posts on it over the last couple of weeks, and several in the past. If you do a search on MSM here you will find them.

The only problem I see with it is for people who have the genetic tendency not to be able to eliminate sulfur very well.

For lyme arthritis, my favorite is bee venom ointment called Venex from beevenom.com

There's a soap I like called "MSM Soap" - which smells slightly of citrus. I can't say it has done anything for my pain, but research others' experiences. Still, its a great soap for daily body washing and unlike so many "healthy" soaps, actually works for men!

Thank you, bejoy. You have so much good info! Do you know how to tell if there is a genetic tendency to not be able to eliminate sulfur well other than the Yasko methylation test? Thank you. A way without tests would be super great.:-)
