Have been on IV meds for 28 days now and on the 24th day i woke up with pain in my right ankle , next day also pain in my R wrist. On xmas night pain got so bad almost went to hospital could not stand on foot are bend wrist are fingers . Next day took advill all day and goy much better not completely gone though.

Could this be a " Herx" reaction and if so why only near end of my treatment?

Now i am on 500MG pills twice aday instead on the IV meds.

AM still learning myself, as to what does and doesn't cause a herx',and what isor isn't a herx.

I do hope you feel better soon... perhaps the changeover from IV to pills could be causing pain as toxins are pulled from the body???

Hopefully,someone will be along shortly that has more experience and knowledge on these matters.

My brain is 'burping' and I can't remember the words,but are you taking Acidophilus and such[oh...yeah...Probiotics!], or something on that order to help keep the good type gut bacterium at proper level?

And often Lemon or Lime juice the real stuff,can help w/ detox...

Hey hey..

Sounds like a herx to me!

Often they hit during the 3-4 week of treatment... so the timing is right.

They usually cause symptoms to worsen... and I've described it like this... as have others...

"Is this a herx, or am I gonna die?"

[Eek!]

Most LLMD's treat till the herxes have stopped.. and then some... so please be sure you don't go off the IV's too soon. OK?
