From peoples experiences how long does their LLMD recommend them to be on a PICC line when treating Lyme?

There are alot of variables:
1) how well you respond 2) whether you can tolerate oral meds 3) whether you have problems with the PICC 4) severity of illness
Depending on the above: some do only a month, some several months and others have them in for long periods of time.
My husband has had a central line in for almost a year now. He didn't respond well to oral meds and was starting to have alot of problems taking the oral meds. He is responding very well to the IVs.

My doc is telling me 20 weeks. Im fine with it but I was curious to know what other have experienced.
I have been out of work for a while now and would be out for it looks like another 5-6 months. My job has unlimited sick leave at full pay so I really dont care but I guess its just more drama.
I think I'm starting to have a GI problem with the Doryx thinking it was just Basesia symptoms that state abdominal pain. I think im gonna give the Abx a rest and hope to get on the PICC line in a couple of weeks. Just waiting for the paperwork to go thru.
