Can anyone tell me what herxing is? I am unfamiliar with this term and have seen it in several threads. Thanks.

Herxing is slang for Herxheimer Reaction. Herxheimer is a short-term reaction in the body that occurs as the antibiotics kills off the bacteria. As the body detoxifies, you can experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms. Herxing usually occurs every 3 to 4 week and can last from 3 days to a week or more. I hope this helps you.

It means once you start medicating you feel worse before you feel better. not everybody has a herx reaction though so don't let the anti-abx people scare you.
