Rectal probiotics/reloridization by Victoria Bowman at Myrealhealth.com

Rectal refloridization totally colonizes 100% in the colon within an hour whereas only a very small percentage of orals actually reach the colon.

She supplies the product and mixing/administartion bottle with full instructions.

Eric,
I have been on Ceftin on and off for over 3 years. It is a bad one for causing yeast issues. I have tried many probiotics, but the only one that has worked consistently is Ultimate Flora by Renew Life.

It has 50 billion active cultures per capsule. Lately, I have been adding another less expensive one at bedtime as well.I buy mine at Whole Foods, in the refrigerated section.

Theralac and Ultra Flora. Both come up with a Google search and can be purchased online. Theralac, one per day, Ultra Flora three.

If you really have GI issues and those two don't take care of it, then VSL#3 is great and also available online.

I was put on Ceftin 6 days ago, along with Biaxin,Plaquenil and EDTA and I started having diarrhea, stomach pain and got really clammy last night. Still kind of feel the same. I take 12/12 probiotics from Natural Factors (40+billion) and Kefir and Yogurt and still I am sick.

Six, on Theralac, isn't one per day the initial loading dose and thereafter twice a week? Sorry I am confused. That is the general instruction that came with my Theralac, but now wondering if instructions are different for those treating lyme? Can you help me better understand, thanks!

My LLMD wanted me on the higher than normal dose because of the abx.

My LLMD loves theralac, but I never got much benefit from it.

I take 2 florastor 2x a day and 1 VSL#3 1 x a day and haven't had yeast issues in a long time

(I am also on bicillin injections, so I believe IM bicillin is easier on the gut than oral antibiotics)

Eric,

I drank a lot of Plain Kefir which I purchased at Whole foods. I was drinking 2 quarts a day. You can also make your own. Google in Kefir Grains.

Yes it is important that you also plant them from the bottom up. You have some good ideas here,

Take Care,

Gael

Val - rectal implantation of probiotics like what Rianna is discussing.

I take Healthy Trinity probiotics - acidolphilus, bifidus, lactobacillus.

Hi,

Please explain this to me from the bottom up deal.

You do not take them orally ?

If not, then how ?

I am also very confused by this ?

For now all i have taken is the acidophilus pills from rite aid pharmacy and drank yogurt, and some milk thistle pills, all by mouth ofcourse.

Thank You.

Best regads,
Eric

I had IBS symptoms for years as a result of LD. I tried several different probiotics, including Threelac and Primal Defense. Some of them were quite expensive. I found that the fairly inexpensive Digestive Advantage IBS worked best for me. I also take Nystatin to prevent yeast overgrowth while on abx.
