anyone have this symptom forlyme or yeast, or both? also heart beats fast. ekg normal, xray normal . I have chest pain, all started after flagyl.. thought it was a cold...stopped flagyl took penniciln tabs..got better few days, then worse. then the chest pain came, then shortness breath., even buring in throat upper respiratory.. now off everything except diflucan and famaovir. scared to death cause I can't breath well when I talk or walk, is this reaction to flagyl? yeast?

Babesia? Air hunger issues for me are exacerbated during exercise.
Just my experience though.

I have been having trouble with breathing, like when talking and sometimes for no reason at all.
I have trouble eating now, like I am alergic or something. Lots of crazy symptoms and I have never been on any treatment for Lyme.
Just confirmed I had it after being sick off and on since 93. Now trying to find a doc to treat me.

I'm assuming you haven't been able to discuss with your LLMD yet?
As Geneal already said, shortness of breath/air hunger is a classic Babs symptom. Since you thought you had a cold, did or do you also have a cough? Frequent coughing is also a common Babs symptom.
Though I've never seen a racing heart/heart palpitations on a symptoms list for Babesia, ancedotally it is a fairly common side effect of Babesia treatment.
Not sure about the chest pain and sore throat...could be related to the air hunger.
Were you on any other meds when you started the Flagyl? Flagyl is thought to hit babesia, so may have caused enough babs die-off to get these symptoms.
If you can't connect with your LLMD soon, I suggest you call your pharmacist. It would be interesting to find out if any of your symptoms are known Flagyl side effects.

I experienced the same kind of breathing problems. I believe it is Babeisa symptoms.

I have exactly the same things too. I understand fully. I supposedly don't have Babesia, but even when off Malarone for anytime, this stuff starts to some degree. I had so many days I couldn't even leave a voice mail for co-workers due to gasping trying to say a continued sentance. It made me depressed.
It's not normal. It's not anxiety as on better days, it's vanished.

My anxiety is much less tonight. This is weird, I fell a little better now. I bet tomorrow I will feel worse. could this be die off? IS babs cause constant breathing problems, mine is on and off during the day. but so far, every day for 2 weeks, but never before in my life.

Yep, I've had this for a while. I often lose my breath mid sentence, like I rather unexpectely run out of air, have to interrupt myself and grab a breath.

same thing here, shortness of breath and heart racing.
i am very athletic so it is a pain.
had heart checked out: 6 lead ekg, echocardiogram, etc, all normal
LLMD says Lyme can cause many problems with muscles in heart, may get better, may not.
Palpitations are not all the time, seem to get worse when I eat too much sugar at one time.
as long as all tests are normal, we just have to live with it.
still have to go see a pulmonologist for lung function test just to be sure....
another fun gift from lyme disease.....

I have mucus in my throat too, and pain. I cough, it is comming from upper respiratory. My chest pain/hard to breath is non stop. Even when I bend to pick up something, I feel my heart beat fast. The docs think I am crazy. I have an appointment to have a echocardi, and heat monitor belt hooked up for 24 hours. I have an ent appointment. I have not seen a lung doc yet. but, I don't know why, it gets better at end of day, so far it has done that for 2 days. I take my diflucan in the morning. my anxiety was much less yesterday, then kicked in again. I don't know if this is a looooong herx from the flagyl or what. It feels like something is in my lungs, definately mucus, but clear, no sinus problem, I cough sometimes, no congestion,...I try not to worry about it,...I know part of it is lyme, cause I have this pain in back of chest, in ribs, which I had in prior years. But, not sure about being out of breath. should I do the heart monitor or is it a waste of time?

A heart monitor is not something you want to "pass" over
In case there is something wrong.
Lyme can cause issues with the heart.
Some symptoms sound like Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia to me.
I have that too.
Air hunger is almost a constant companion for me.
One of my worst and most prevailing symptoms.
I am almost into one year of my 3rd babesia treatment.
I can get a satisfying breath better now.
However, I still have many occasions during the day that I can't.
Funny thing is, once I lay down to sleep at night,
I breathe like a champ.
I think, for me, babesia along with POTs (which can cause shortness of breath),
Is a double whammy.
The sore throat may be due to inhalation of cold, dry air.
Or sinus drip, which I've had a lot of lately.
Rib pain, feelings of diaphragm being "stuck", air hunger, joint pain, etc.
