When you take IV antibiotics, do you have to insert a PICC line or can you be stuck everytime you go in? Thanks

The picc line stays in until your done.

The picc line was better for me, it stayed in throughout the treatment.

You can do either/or, it really depends on your LLMD and his preferences though.

I had to get a mid-line because they couldn't get a PICC line in, but I am careful with it and haven't had any problems at all. It's really gone quite smoothly. Good luck. So far it's been the easiest part.
