I have seen that cerebral toxoplasmosis, which is pretty similar to babesiosis, causes cranial nerve disturbances. (sorry, text is in swedish)

Also, when my son and I treat babesia with mepron+zith we get very tired, droopy eyes, bell's palsy kind of look. Also pale with dark cirkles under eyes.

Just wondering.....if Babesia is sometimes to be blamed for Cranial nerve disturbances?

Anyone having experience from this?

This is my least favorite symptom because besides how it makes me look, it comes with a fatigue from not being able to keep my eyes open and I have a hard time working or being productive.

I guess it may be babesia, although I think it might also be from Lyme. I've also been on Mepron and Zith for about 9 months, in addition to doxy, artemesinin, and Tindamax or Primaquine. That symptom is starting to go away, but will still happen when I herx. It's just not as severe now as it was a year ago.

I'm not an MD, but I feel certain that babesia could cause cranial nerve problems as well as Bb.

In fact, because Mepron, and Primaquine, both make me herx, I sometimes wonder if they aren't hitting one of the other forms of Bb, like the L form.
