I notice many people take magnesium. I've read many different things about this. What does it help you with?

For me I was told by my LLMD to talk it because it will help my heart symptoms and muscle twitches.

I take Magnesium Taurate 125mg a day and I take it at least two hours about from my Minocycline.

Everything. Simply everything. Seriously, if you could take only one supplement, this would be the best place to begin. Many of our symptoms can be related to low magnesium.

For me, it's the top helper to prevent or minimize seizures. It helps lift mood, decrease pain, induce calm.

And, it's good to learn the importance of proper balance of calcium, zinc and other minerals and electrolytes, too.

You can also find some wonderful explanations for how magesiusm helps with so many of our symptoms through the "CFIDS Chronicle" back issues / archives. You can google for that.

Magnesium is very important, especially for

lymies. The spirochete robs

the body of magnesium and Americans are already

deficient in this mineral. It helps with muscle

twitches, relaxes muscles and performs many very

complicated functions in the body on a cellular

level.

Marnie has written quite a bit on the subject, if

you want to do a search. I have always used

magnesium glycinate, as I've been told that

it is the form that is best absorbed but

some people use other forms. Also, IM

magnesium shots are extremely effective.

Could low magnesium have anything to do with stiff tendons and muscles?

Please someone reply to daystar1952.

I would love to know, as my body (especially shoulders and neck) are so very tense.

Supposedly it can be daystar, but it has done little to relieve my symptoms.

Magnesium is one of my mainstays in functioning. If I haven't been taking it, my muscles and tendons hurt all over.

Are epsom salt baths a sufficient source of magnesium, or must you take it orally? I feel like I should know the answer to this by now, but I don't!

Its the first thing I took when I got sick. I craved anything chocolate and when I was a kid I was very picky about eating chocolate treats cuz I didnt like most and would only eat vanilla ice cream.

I went to the internet and put in chocolate craving and came up with magnesium deficiency. I take over 1000 mg. each day divided into 4 times per day and that how I manage my tendon and muscular pain. I still get some annoying muscle pains but nothing that is 24-7 like it use to be. It also helps manage my blood pressure.

My body screamed that it needed magnesium and Im so grateful that I had access to the internet to find an answer cuz the first time I had lyme I didnt have a computer and my tendons and muscles got into so much trouble I couldnt touch my knees or the top of my head and could not sit on my butt so when those symptoms started again and I found magnesium I was able to keep it from getting to that point again.

I was in a fibromyalgia support group and everyone was taking some form of magnesium.

I ended up taking super malic, which is malic acid (from apples) and magnesium, and immediately was able to move from the slow lane of the swimming pool to the fast one!

Of course, no one knew what fibromyalgia was back then.
