If you haven't done this, you might want to have your Dr. do a semen culture for fungus. I had urinary symptoms similar to prostatitis and the culture showed positive for yeast. So the treatment would be antifungal, not ABX. Since lymies are on so many ABX, its actually not all that unreasonable a thing to test for... just a thought.

BC,

Have you seen an Urologist for this, or is it your LLMD treating you for this? What kind of testing have you had done???? I am assuming that it is enlarged???

I agree that you should have cultures doing, but have the done a BPH on you??? Although LLMD's are very knowledgable, the prostate is not their specialy. At least for the most part.

If you haven't already, please see an Urologist for this!!!!

Doxy may help if the other suggestions- which I think are good- have failed.

Have seen urologist. Have had many test done including on which a baloon was put where in I never though baloons could be done. (ha) All psa, digital, and this advanced test come back normal. Never had had any cultures done.

I'd have the cultures done then... they will give them a better idea whats going on.

Never heard of a fluoroquinolone (like Levaquin) being used to treat a Borreliosis. Unless you have bartonella or mycoplasma (nay, I'd say maybe even if you have one of them), you should probably get off it; those drugs can really mess you up.

Make sure you don't take any NSAIDs with it--according to what I've read, that's a recipe for severe brain damage.

Another possibility to consider is nanobacteria. This is somewhat controversial and new.

Treatment is EDTA and tetracycline.
