do you ever fully recover and become the person you were before lyme?
from how i feel, what i've read, etc i'm starting to think that i will never be the person i was before the lyme & that i will never feel well/ the way i did before lyme.

You will feel great again, but it will just take time. When you read on sites like this, remember that most people here are sick. What you read here over and over is about illness and feeling like crap. The ones that have gotten better usually have moved on, so you don't read all the good stuff over and over. It's good to keep that in mind when you are reading.

Hang in there. As sutherngrl said, it takes time. Terry

i've had this for 39 years; 34.5 misdiagnosed by 40-50 drs.
my husband of 34 yrs. has NEVER known me healthy; i do NOT remember the person i was before this occurred.
yes, do read success stories posted above!
it's who you become AFTER you get into remission, is the person who counts.
EACH OF US CONTROLS how we will react to the situation! it's how we REACT to it and if we are going to give into it!! remember that ok! Posted by Fordace (Member # 14874) on :

I was incredibly sick. It took a long time to get better but now I am like my old self much of the time. It's different though because I am so grateful every day to be well.
In some ways I feel better than I did before Lyme treatment. I am healthier now, I eat really well, avoid stress.
It took a lot of work to get better. I got great info here on Lymenet.
