i was on rocephin from june 2, 2008 - october 3, 2008. i got better but am having a relapse now. i am going back on rocephin, and gratefully i still have my PICC line. as a result, i've had to find a cheaper source for my rocephin and iv supplies. i get my needles, syringes, and saline flushes from allegro medical in arizona, and these three items do not require a prescription. i will be getting the saline solution for mixing at infuserve in florida. the rocephin i get from a costco pharmacy at approximately $12 for a 2 gram vial. I hope this info helps someone out. feel free to contact me if you need more specific info.

BTW- Gotta laugh.
When I first had to do Rocephin... many many moons ago...
It cost $2,000.00 per DAY.
PLUS the supplies, plus nurses and doctors, etc.
Just the drug was $2,000.00 per day. And that was for only 1 gram per day.
When that dose failed they put me on 2 grams a day... and it cost just under $4,000.00 per day.

Snagirl,
I'm not on Rocephin anymore, but still on IV's and have been using Infuserve for everything.
They were less expensive than our local infusion companies, but still not cheap when you are paying out of pocket. So looking for other ways to cut costs is good.
